When your company receive this letter, they face a few options
(1) allow you to work from home, no cost to anyone, lawyer doens't make money
(2) negotiate your lawyer for a severence package
(3) getting sued.
You want response #1, your lawyer want response #2 (easy money), nobody really want option #3 (legal effort for your lawyer, legal expesne for your company, lose-lose).
