well..it is catch22

no good solution either way, in effect, she entered US illegally and falsifing documents may even make it a criminal offense if found out. On the other hand, if she tell the truth now, she will most likely not able to continue with the application and may even be put in deportation proceedings.

She need to consult a lawyer.
