When I filed NIW I-140 in 08/2006,
1. Submitted 6 letters: 2 from own university, 1 from Cornell University, 1 from University of Pennsylvania (Chinese), 1 from Corning Company, 1 from Eli Lilly Company (Chinese).
2. Published 20 papers (5 first authored) (about 40 citations in that time) in the core journals of the field, 3 pending patents, and 10 conference presents.
Two of my first authored papers were ranked most-downloaded/most accessed paper in the Journal
3. One of conference present (poster) was nominated for the best poster award but didn’t get award (no other national award).
Recently received REF for I140:
a) Please submit additional evidence which will indicate that the benefits of the petitioner’s proposed employment will be national in scope. While the petitioner’s place of employment (i.e. her job site or office location) may be limited to a particular geographical area, it must be established that the benefits of the petitioner’s employment will accrue to more than one particular region of the USA; and
b) Please submit additional documentary evidence which will indicate that the petitioner had, as of the priority data of this petition, a degree of influence on her field which distinguished her from other scientists with comparable academic or professional qualifications. Such evidence might consist of, but is not necessarily limited to, copies of excerpts from trade publications, journals, magazines or other news media, in which the petitioner’s research achievements are discussed, commented on, or otherwise specifically mentioned; or evidence of official recognition conferred or bestowed on the petitioner by government bodies, professional organizations, or other such entities.
1, Can anyone explain this is normal request or intend to deny? What’s weakness in my case?
2. Do I need to prepare a cover letter for submission of additional evidence?
3. Can I submit my recent publications and University’s awards as evidence?
Now I have 30 papers with 190 citations. What percentage will be deny after submit additional evidence? I am planning to use AP to back China, so I am worried about that if I-140 is denied, I will get trouble in returning USA. Thanks a lot!
