oral form睾丸酮要麽被肝髒代謝掉(無藥濃價值)要麽會導致膽汁鬱積(cholestasis)/血脂紊亂(lipid disturbances)/肝腺瘤(hepatic adenoma)/其它肝毒性(other hepatotoxicity),不建議使用.

通常的給藥途徑是:
1.肌注(Intramuscular Injections);
2.粘在牙齦上(Tran*****uccal System);
3.透皮/經皮吸收(Transdermal Testosterone,patch or gel) ,塗或貼;
4.皮下植入睾酮(subcutaneous testosterone implants).

男性睾丸酮水平下降相當於女性更年期的雌激素水平下降.
