Electric toothbrushes may be better than

regular toothbrushes in preventing gum recession. I also make sure I use soft toothbrush head. Once our gum recedes, it won't grow back for sure. Every time I see my dentist/hygienist, he'll take a measurement and check if my recession gets worse. For the past few years, I've been doing all the necessary work: brushing teeth, flossing, using mouthwash, seeing my dentist/hygienist three times a year, and my gum recession problems have "stablized."
