Byetta is reported to be related to pancreatitis in a very limited number,  and the overall incidence of pancreatitis is higher in diabetic patients with or without using this class of medication. so there is still no clear evidence suppots that Byetta is the cause.

Byetta is among the few medicaions that can actually cause weight loss, therefore is preferred in obese diabetic patients.

Exercise and diet are always the basic requirement for diabetes management no matter how far along the patient has diabetes. But for most patients, only exercise and diet are not enough.

I think we should be more careful when we post health related information in public forum and try to avoid judgemental comments, because this will potentially affect readers' attitude towards medication and their physician advise.
