2020平安夜，大雨滂沱，白色聖誕臨門一腳變成了綠色聖誕。奇特的平安夜，drive-through, 偌大的停車場，井然有序的車輛，2米寬一個車位，車裏有專門的頻道可以聽，看大銀幕上熟悉的人們，站在家門口說聖誕快樂。雨很大，看著雨中指揮停車的自願者John，大聲喊他，謝謝他，並祝他聖誕快樂。他每年敞開大門邀請大家去他家平安夜, 孩子們在他後院裏自製的溜冰場打冰球，大人們聊天喝酒的場景。今昔何夕，無論如何，黑暗不會長久，長夜之後，黎明一定會來……
2020，每一天，都在見證曆史，病毒，BLM, ANTIFA, 十月驚奇，JB午夜曲線……Cancel culture, cancel Christmas, Big Reset。 開始，常常看CBC local 新聞跟蹤每天的數據，某一天，集體下跪後，襪子君也跟著跪下，打開CBC 的網站，第一個跳出來的主持，是一個非裔男子。後來每次打開網頁，第一個看見的就是這個麵孔，我對他個人沒有任何好惡，不評價。想起今年因為疫情，大規模裁員的情況下，居然奇跡般專門雇了一個B進管理層。想起白卷根正苗紅上大學的故國荒唐歲月，突然失去了再跟蹤這些數據的興趣。
風氣雲湧的歲月，人類在往一個可怕的方向狂奔，螳臂當車的人們，正在被無情碾壓。太多想扮上帝的勢力，可惜他們不是。
還好，不管怎樣，知道誰掌控明天。

聖誕節，考上火雞，出去跑步，步道上三三兩兩的人們，對著迎麵而來的人們，揮手大聲說一聲：Merry Christmas！前麵幾年是Happy Holiday, 殊不知，holiday 是從holy day 而來。我們的自由和權利，正在一點點被恐懼和焦慮侵蝕，不小心，我們就犯了不信科學的罪。作為一個科研名工，這是很大的一個罪名。先給你戴上不信科學的帽子，然後別的帽子會接踵而至……
節日被取消不能聚會，不能出行，烤隻火雞慶祝聖誕，安全嗎？
