Offer was via a recruiter.
I told the recruiter that I prefer direct (even with same salary I have right now), but contractor needs to have good pay (I gave a number).
The offer is (1 yr) contractor but the pay just matches my current (direct) salary which is about $6/hr less than the number I gave him.
The company is good (I like), should I take the offer?
I don't have much experience dealing with recruiters, and feel that the recruiter hid the actual number from the company and he didn't work hard enough to make it direct hire (I asked him to change it after the initial offer but he said he tried but the company didn't allow).
For those with good experience with recruiters, how can you determine if a contractor (instead of direct) is really due to the company or because of the recruiter?
What will you do in my situation?
Thanks
What will you do with the offer?
