Speaking frankly, the example you gave is really bad, no matter what you wanted to illustrate.

Technically, the Chinese candidate's answer showed his or her understanding on thread-safe stayed at the surface level. It also showed he or she had neither experience nor understanding in performance and scalability. On the contrary, the Indian was aware of many approaches, has some understanding in OOP's shortcomings.
