This kind of questions is mostly asked for jobs that need to deal with various people. It is true this is a bit negative(a little bit insulting as well), but the company do want to know how you handle various situations, especially not very comfortable ones.

So your point to answer this question is to show that you can handle these situations with a positive attitude and create positive outcomes.
