You didnt get along with your manager before?

They laid off some administrative assistant on my team and hired someone new for that exact same position a few days later. The only thing I could think of is
they replace that administrative assistant with the manager's relative or friend. We don't pay admins that well. So I doubt it is salary related.

Anyway, put the past behind you. And learn to get along with your manager in the future.
