I work as a sr. director in a large high tech company in the bay area. My four directors/ sr. managers are all white females. It just happened that way, no personal preference.
A lot of their direct reports are Asian ladies, many of them are ABC's from UC Berkeley/UCLA. I have nothing but good words to say about them. They are smart, hardworking and positive.
I do agree that sometimes they are bit on the shy side. I always encourage them to step out of their comfort zone and try to be more vocal and sociable. But I view this as personality other than capability challenge.
As the manager, you need to provide the right coaching and mentoring to your staff. Talking about race discrimination openly is not only unprofessional but also unethical. This can get you in trouble and I have seen cases like that. You are the role model that your team will look up to.

你說得都對,他的問題還有就是全盤否定自己的根.其實曆史地看,否定自己本民族的人本身是得不到任何人尊重的.
