not an easy choice

Neither option is appealing.
I can just imagine how it is with your current job.. and the problem it has is not something you can fix alone. Agree you should move on. But with the new job, 3-4 hour daily commute is a deal breaker unless your salary is doubled. You can't sustain a commute like that long term. Also, did you say that you had to switch the field? Is it a good switch? I think you should place more weight on this factor when making the final decision.
What's the chance of finding another offer based on your industry and locale? What's your willingess to try for another offer?
