What do you want to get out of the meeting?

1. Project status planning out the week
2. Company news/announcement/gossips
3. Requests such as vacations/coverage or software/hardware purchases
4. Promote collaboration and share of learning/knowledges
These are all valuable info you can gather in a team setting. It's also a chance for everyone to get together on a consistent basis to establish a team culture especially for those who work independently.
There is a good book called Behind the closed door.
