新人向Manager提這個要求會不會不合適？

在公司主要用C++或者VBA，有時候需要立刻分析畫圖的時候，真心覺得幹活效率低。想向Manager要Matlab，估計一年要花上$5000左右買個license，而且Manager需要向上頭申請才可能給我買個license。隔壁組有人用Matlab，我們組沒有。新人就向Manager提這個要求會不會有點不太好。
