She knows exactly what she needs to do. She is just lack of motivation and there is not too much you can do about it.  It is easier to motivate young people with lesser experiences than older people with years of experiences but lack of passion.  I had someone who graduated from a top ranked law school told me this: I had a great career before. This is just a job to me.  His former boss warned me that he only worked for benefit (not even for money). Comparing with other candidates, I was impressed by his experience. It was a big mistake.
