說起來我也是名校計算機科班出生, 但很痛苦地發現我並不適合編程. 以前的學位, 幾年的工作, 都是耍些小聰明混過去的. 但這個行業, 你如果對編程沒有熱情, 不聰明, 不投入時間,是混得很難受的. 周圍是大量的充滿熱情, 又聰明又努力的software developers, 很難出頭.

-- 你的現在就是你下一步成功的基礎. For sure. Therefore, don't threw away your CS stuff.

-- In software companies, 周圍是大量的充滿熱情, 又聰明又努力的software developers, 很難出頭.This is absolutely true.

-- There are many many none-software companies, 周圍是大量的充滿熱情, 不太聰明又努力的Application Users, 你從工作的第一天就已經出頭. This is absolutely true too!

-- Therefore: Don't looking jobs in Software copany where you develope software for other customer companies.

-- Looking for jobs in Service company where you USE software developed by other 軟體攻城士. You life will be much relaxed.

-- Many Service companies use Database system, for a 名校計算機科班出身的 you, this is very simple. Definitely a good direction to go.

-- Summary: Forget the software companies, try to looking for more comfortable jobs in many many services companies.

-- 用個很土的比喻: 你是學造車科班出身的, 如果你隻瞄著找造車的職位,那你隻能到那沒人願意去的底特綠去工作, 而且經濟不好, 壓力巨大. 要是你換個方向, 找開車的職位, 那誰顧你都敬你是專家, 你還活的象愛餓蘇三,或綠樹一樣,特滋潤. 開車的職位到處都有, 工資也不一定比在底特綠造車的低...
