If I were you, I wouldn't have written the e-mail in a rebuke way. I would explain what had happened and, if I could, pointed out that those errors had been inevitable. On the other hand, if I were the intern, of course, I would have criticised those who built the report as well. Should I care about the root cause?
All in all, for any errors, there is no point to drive it since it'll make you look like the one fully responsible for all the errors.
