To be exact, R was not able to figure out how to do a task after two weeks and I did it in 2 hours. The manager wasn't very happy about it. I have sit down with R and showed him how to do the task step by step but he still could not do it, as of today. Yesterday, in front of the whole team, the manager said what I did was nothing. I was kind of shocked.
I respect everyone at work. I have no desire to be a team lead right now. (No, I am not very senior, just a lot better than R is.) I told the manager I would support R if he becomes the lead. And I shared all my work. What else can I do to release their anxieties other than pretend don't know anything?
Thank you!
