For embedded products one bug is enough to cost some significant jobs.
In term of the feeling of wasting time, here is a good one for you, “Tis not too late to seek a newer world.” You wasted nothing because “Tomorrow is nothing, today is too late; the good lived yesterday.” just as you indicated. :) :) :)
