Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with this job. Each manager has his/her own style. You may not like her style in the beginning, but after a while, you may like her more than your previous boss.
When you move up in you level, you'll need to take more initiatives to make things happen. Visibility, exposure, development opportunity, training and even information source are things you need to proactively create. As long as you are not micro-managed, you should see all this flexibility and lack of structure as your opportunity. It is much worse to have a strong manager who arranges everything for you.
If you see anything in the work environment you don't like, try to change it. You'll learn leadership in the process. Go slow. Try one change at a time. Your ability to change for the better is the most valuable skill in the long run. At the senior level companies need leaders, not followers.
