I would choose A.
work environment is very important. constantly getting yelled at probably won't make you last long there. Seems every thing about A is comparable to or better than that about B - same pay, same commute, better people, better work load, a manager title。 3 month probation without benefit is not uncommon. Once you pass that, you'll be fine. checking personal character sounds reasonable to me as it's a manager position. I would rather try something unknown ( a manager level position) than live in a negative environment where I know for sure I won't last long.
