Master degree is not required for most accounting jobs and we do hire people with foreign education backgrounds. Based on my recruiting experience, we have never turned down a person because he/she does not have master degree. However, CPA is a typical requirement for public accounting jobs and a big plus for industry jobs.

Regarding your work experience, when I review a candidate's resume, I typically look at the nature of relevant experience that person has. For example, if that person has 10 year experience but has been doing the the same thing, I will just consider he/she has only one to two year experience and may also question whether that person will be a good fit for our firm since our firm's culture is "move up or out".

If you like to share some details on your experience and what kind of positions you are applying, I may be able to provide some suggestions.
