1). 無中生有的例子 - it is bound to be an uphill battle once this point is reached.
2). 一一反駁了回去 - the line is drawn in the sand; little room for finding a mutually beneficial way out.

The moral: While one still has a job, do everything one can to avoid getting to 1) .

Hindsight is always 20/20. Learn from experience. If one can do that, things will surely look up.
