Usually you should not tell them the real numbers. If your previous salary was hight, then you can ask them to match your previous one. And I heard you can add 5000 more on their offer. The HR always leave some room for people to negotiate. When talk to them, don't keep saying the numbers, you should focus on why you deserve more...
