找Technician position,尋求建議.

我國內是學醫的,在Canada讀了個Master,美國大學一年實驗室工作經驗.然後由於家庭原因,這中間有好幾年的GAP. 直接找technician的位置也不太可能,必竟有好幾年的GAP.現在想先找Volunteer作半年,然後再試試找工作. 不知這樣的計劃可行嗎?現在經濟這麽差,還能找著位置嗎?很擔心那麽長時間的GAP會很不利.謝謝!
