not much to say about #1 and 3.

For career dev. It is tough for a small company. I guess you can approach them in a couple ways:

1. doing a good job here is going to help them gain hands-on experiences. It is not just sth they can put on paper. It is real-life expereince. You can give them some examples yourself.
2. In a small company they can be exposed to every elements in the business, rather than being put in a pigeon hole, like in a big company. Also, they will be given broader responsibilites than in a big company.
3. This company is in its booming phase. With company growing, they can become managers soon themselves :-) (sugar boost). remind them of a very very small company back in the 80's called microsoft, another small one back in the mid 70's called Apple. growing with a small company in its booming phase is to their best interests. Of cause this has to be true.
You may think of even mroe benefits to work in a small company. Just a few that come to my mind.
