Sigma has very good points about contractor jobs, specially in current job market. The company might let the contractor go on the first day or the first week or the first month. No one promises you for ANYTHING. Don't count your salary yearly, it is hourly pay.

The interivew for hiring a contractor is much easier is because they can fire you on the first day without losing anything.

I had been doing contractor job for six months.
