i've been conducting business develpment in india for more than 1 year and travelled all over India therefore i met lots lots of indian people. To me, indian people are not reliable, you have to be extremely cautious with their promises. aside from that Indian people are congenitally procrastinating and lazy. that's why the country is still less developed. in a word, you don't have to be so amiable to indian people to be polite, just be harsh and practical, and you'll find it works.
