You are absolutely right. This should be a way to turn my bosses into supportive forces and my visibility channels in the future. Wow, this is really helpful!

I got my VP's ok to talk to the hiring director at BU and discuss with her when she's back from vacation. I'll probably email her that I'm interested to pursue the opportunity and meet with her for her insights when she's back. Hopefully, she'll be supportive.
