I will just joke back to make sure to let him know that you got it but think it is a joke. Silence might make him think that you are considering it seriously.

Certainly, that is what I usually do - don't take any risk at wrok. Actually, I had similar situations before.

I know some people might do things differently - take a little risk but might gain some profit.
