after all, you have the whole picture, we don't. there are many questions you need to answer before you can make a decision.
for example, what can you gain from the contract work, other than collecting checks?
option 2 seems to be too good to be true. the questions are, 1. does the owner set the timetable. 2. are you ready to be your own boss?
