All vaccines in American are considered safe -otherwise they would not vaccinate the public, right?
A few vaccines, including measles, mumpus, rubella,adenovirus, and yellow fever,are live attenuated vaccine (i.e. the pathogens in the vaccine are not killed) and they could potentially CAUSE the disease in immune compromised patients (HIV, transplant patient etc)- pregnancy woman is considered immune compromised and therefore should not be vaccinated with attanuated vaccines when they are pregnant.
-about 20 years ago, America were using live vacine for polio (i.e. the sweet pills when tookd we were in kindgarden back in China) and there was a few cases of polio due to the vaccine.
--There is a reason for live vaccine, b/c it is more effective. After Americans feel that the polios are under control, they decided to switched to killed vaccine (injection form). That is why your baby do not have the sweet pills anymore.
--Anthrax vaccine is not a live vaccine, should not cause anthrax.And they are not given to ordinary people, only to people in high risk occupation for example postal works in New York after 911...
--But a few people could be allegic to vaccines, like they can be allergic to everything, for instance flower, peanuts or chocolate!...most cases are mild.
