Not a good idea

You can not retreat from your boss!

Our boss once complained about a employee furiously: "I cannot believe that she refused to talk to me! and I don't know what she is doing!"

Please be confident, positive, and less sensitive - in your case, probably is just communication problem. Or if two of you just could not get along, you can always move on. I wouldn't feel too bad about it, sometimes, it happens---You might be a very nice person, but just couldn't get alone with your current boss or his style (or he is just "mean"), at the same I would try to improve myself too.
