Safest Car On The Road: Even Crashing Into A Wall Is Good News For Tesla
As it does with all cars, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration crash tested a bunch of Tesla’s Model S sedans. While that’s no surprise, what might confound skeptics who still question the viability of electric vehicles is the Tesla recorded the highest score of any vehicle ever tested by NHTSA. Along with numerous accolades calling it perhaps the finest car on the road, the crash results just reinforced the fact that one year into the vehicle’s life it has become one of the most coveted cars on the planet. Last month, GM made news by launching an internal group to study Tesla, fearful that the company’s early success could lead to “disruption” of the auto industry. The fact the first long-range EV sold also happens to protect its passengers better than any other auto out there suggests the disruption has begun.
