What you said here is pure speculation. Would you agree that a computer error that results in driving the throttle wide open could have lead to the the same sequence of events as you described?
Please keep in mind that even Toyota has admitted that jammed floor mats are not the only culprits for the unexpected acceleration of their cars. Otherwise they would not have issued a 2nd round of recalls blaming the faulty gas pedal, would they?
