Whispers
Death whispers at the doorsteps ever so quietly;
Softly but with noble persistence.
Reminding me the time to adjourn is near.
My soul shall be readied to moveth on to the Pure Land.
Knew many decades before
and so it shall not surprise.
Many a times before it cometh close
only to fleet away like a hummingbird
attracted to the strongest nectar.
For those left behind, remember only my gentle footsteps and eternal love;
Reflect your actions under the compassion's golden horizon;
May your accomplishments be guided by the hand of benevolent love.
Those still in your tender years,
you have many more footsteps to create.
Though short as it may seem
I am most proud to have shared in your lifetime.
Regrets I have none,
As I lived, loved, and met upon much goodness.
As I leave you my love,
shed little tears for my peaceful departure.
May the light lead me forth to the Pure Land.
