2009年7月29日，上海，近日，周慧敏現身上海趁空擋同陳可辛共進晚餐，和導演談電影聊天吃飯很顯然是為自己的複出做準備。
席間，周慧敏發現有被跟拍，為了避嫌從酒樓做出租車先行離開。稍後發現從酒樓裏走出來的陳可辛手上拿著厚厚的筆記本，神態輕鬆。應該是在同周慧敏討論新電影的拍攝，周慧敏的複出之作很有可能就是由陳可辛擔當製作。
回到下榻酒店的周慧敏看到鏡頭依舊露出招牌微笑，助理手上還拿著酒樓的打包食物，看來應該是對剛才的佳肴還意猶未盡。從雙方前後步出酒樓開始，兩者心情都甚好，似乎合作已成定局。
