Please also check whether there are degenerative disc diseases on your cervical spine, both spurring and disc space narrowing. X-ray can diagnose and MRI will further detail the findings if it warrants.

I had a similar experience many years ago from bending over the computer screen for too long. The best remedies are: 1. Keep a vertical posture from head to the tailbone all the time. 2. Even after you the neckache sets in, pull-ups, like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGo4IYlbE5g, will immediately relieve the pain. And it will prevent further back/neck aches in the future. 3. Do deadlifts to strengthen the back/neck muscle to prevent future aches.
