問題的表現

家中的暖氣爐2014年4月安裝，具體情況為Carrier 1 stage x 13 95, Model#: 59SP5A080E171116,Serial#: 1314A49028。在正常運行了6年後於2020秋末冬初出現問題了，暖氣爐在接到啟動指令後，整機啟動幾分鍾後會自動停機，再啟動直至接到停機指令。仔細觀察暖氣爐的情況後發現：

暖氣爐在正常運行2分鍾後，
控製板上的狀態燈開始顯示Error Code #31，Error Code反複顯示一分鍾後，
暖氣爐即會自動停機，同時Error Code #31消失；
暖氣爐會自動再次啟動，並正常運行。

有時暖氣爐在非正常自動停機後，Error Code #31並沒有消失，這樣暖氣爐就不能再啟動了。這時就要人為地將暖氣爐的電路切斷再接通，暖氣爐重新設置才可以運行。

Error Code #31是關於Housing Pressure Switch (HPS)故障的，此處不予詳述。這裏隻列出關於Carrier 59SP5A Error Code #31，收集到的情況。

Carrier 2014年1月20日發布Dealer Service Bulletin DSB 14-0002“35 inch Condensing Gas Furnace Nuisance Pressure Switch Tripping”，注意到了這個問題，分析了問題形成的原因。

Most installations pull in cold combustion air during the inducer pre-purge. The cold air chills the inducer housing, which causes flue gas condensation droplets to form during the first few minutes of operation. The condensation droplets can migrate into the pressure tap and tube (through the capillary affect) and momentarily block the pressure signal to the inducer HPS. If the furnace runs long enough, the inducer housing heats up enough to prevent condensation droplet formation.

即在15 秒的inducer pre-purge時，室外冷空氣進入暖氣爐上部，並使Inducer Housing變冷，在其後的點火燃燒初期，廢氣中的水氣冷凝在Inducer Housing底部，並由於吸力的作用把Pressure Port堵塞了，從而影響了Pressure Switch的工作。DSB 14-0002在最後給出了現場修理的方法。

Carrier 2014年4月22日發布Dealer Service Bulletin DSB 14-0004 “Revised Inducer Housing Pressure Tap”,指出新型的Inducer Housing已經研製出來，並開始安裝在此後生產的機器上。此前出廠的機器可以更換新型的Inducer Housing。

具體修理情況

按照DSB 14-0002的修理方法，把Pressure Port的內徑擴大到3/16”，暖氣爐在正常了3個月後又出現了原來的問題。無奈又把暖氣爐打開檢查，吃驚地發現該Inducer Housing已經是新型的了，有圖片為證。
