phlegm：痰，也叫sputum。phlegm音[flem],是痰的常用稱呼。隨地吐痰是很不雅的，人們日常對話中很少提到它，隻有咳嗽的時候和醫生提起。所以難得碰到它，記不住，這是偶第N次住啦。但是你不記住，需要說的時候就說不清楚了。猶其在電話裏護士問你，what\'sthecolorofthephlegm?你就糊塗了。或者你想說痰是黃色的，你也說不清。
