錢塘湖春行
白居易
孤山寺(2)北賈亭(3)西，水麵初平(4)雲腳(5)低。
幾處早鶯爭暖樹(6)，誰家新燕(7)啄春泥。
亂花漸欲(8)迷人眼，淺草才能(9)沒馬蹄。
最愛湖東行不足(10)，綠楊陰裏白沙堤(11)。
1. 錢塘湖：即西湖，今杭州市西，古來即為遊覽勝地。
2. 孤山寺：在西湖的裏湖外湖之間的孤山上，南朝陳文帝天嘉年間（560—565）所建。
3. 賈亭：又叫賈公亭，由前杭州刺史賈全於唐德宗貞元年間（785—805）建於錢塘湖畔，人稱“賈亭”或“賈公亭”。
4. 水麵初平：湖水剛剛同堤岸齊平，即春水初漲。
5. 雲腳，接近地麵的雲，多見於將雨或雨初停時。
6. 暖樹，向陽的樹木。
7. 新燕：剛從南方飛回來的燕子。
8. 欲：將要，就要。
9. 才能：剛夠上。
10.行不足：遊不夠，不願離開的意思。“不足”此處意為不滿足。
11.白沙堤：即今白堤，又稱沙堤、斷橋堤，它連接西湖北岸和孤山，唐朝以前已有。

On Qiantang Lake in spring
West of Jia Pavilion and north of Lonely Hill.
Water brims level with the bank and clouds hang low.
Disputing for sunny trees, early orioles trill.
Pecking vernal mud in, young swallows come and go.
A riot of blooms begins to dazzle the eye.
Amid short grass the horse hoofs can barely be seen.
I love best the east of the lake under the sky.
The bank paved with white sand is shaded by willows green.
