宗教與繪畫-3：有女初長成

書接上文，若亞敬（Saint Joachim）和安妮（Saint Anne），為了感謝上帝賜予他們一個新生女兒，從一開始就決定讓瑪利亞（Mary, mother of Jesus）一生侍奉上帝。

在她三歲的那年，十一月二十一日（November 21），他們把小瑪利亞帶到了耶路撒冷的聖殿。在下麵的九年裏，她將一直在聖殿裏生活學習成長，直到十二歲。

這一段故事，名叫「獻聖母於主堂」（Presentation of Mary）。

在傳統的細節裏，小瑪利亞把父母，聖若亞敬和聖安妮，留在了台階的底層。

她三歲的小姑娘，一個人跨上了長長的台階，堅定的走了上去。她的身軀弱小從容，她的臉色平安喜樂。

在台階頂端的大主教（Zechariah）歡迎她的到來。大家都很喜歡她（”and all the house of Israel loved her“）。
