基督呼召你過一個與他不斷交通的生活。基礎訓練包括學習如何在日常繁忙的生活中保持超脫，與周圍的環境互動，但不受其幹擾。你渴望一種簡單的生活方式，以便你能夠與他不間斷地交流。但他挑戰你放棄幻想一個沒有雜亂的世界。接受每一天的來臨，發現他就在其中。

與他談論你每天生活的方方麵麵，包括你的感受。記住，你的最終目標不是控製或解決周圍的一切，而是與他保持交流。成功的一天是指你一直與他保持聯係，即使許多事情在一天結束時仍未完成。不要讓你的待辦清單（無論是寫在紙上還是心裏）成為指引你生活的偶像。相反，向聖靈求助，讓他指導你一步步前進。聖靈將讓你與基督保持親近。

Christ is calling you to a life of constant communion with him. Basic training includes learning to live above your circumstances, even while interacting on that cluttered plane of life. You yearn for a simplified lifestyle so that your communication with him can be uninterrupted. But he challenges you to relinquish the fantasy of an uncluttered world. Accept each day just as it comes, and find him in the midst of it all.

Talk with him about every aspect of your day, including your feelings. Remember that your ultimate goal is not to control or fix everything around you; it is to keep communicating with him. A successful day is one in which you have stayed in touch with him, even if many things remain undone at the end of the day. Do not let your to-do-list (written or mental) become an idol directing your life. Instead, ask the Holy spirit to guide you moment by moment. The Spirit will keep you close to him.
