I don't want to talk about peace with you
——Thoughts after the plane crash on January 8, 2020
By Jing Yu
I don't want to
Talk about peace with you
When someone clenches the fists
Bravely or fearfully
Raising arms
I just want to take you to the cemetery
The bones will never read again
The Scriptures only you understood
Any coffin
There will be a day when no one visits
I don't want to
Discuss with you the plunder behind those gunfire
Or the history of land and religion
Nor mention
The veterans’ unstoppable nightmares
At late every night
And the Oath
Engraved on rusted cannons
When you look up at the eternal blue sky
Breathing transparent
The air that never felt
Or touching the grass
And the velvety petals
Beside your feet
please tell me
Other life
Is it the same as you
Can live like this
