The question about the independent existence of an entity is fake. The accurate way to put the question is not “how an entity exists out of perception before it is perceived”, rather, is “how it occurs in our perception”-----before it occurs in perception, we have no ground to talk about its existence.

So, how does an entity occur in our consciousness?

How does the moon occur in our consciousness?

The existence and the observed existence may not be the same thing:

Is sugar by nature sweet? Even if we don’t taste it?

In other words, what we perceive is only the reaction of our sensory organs to some properties of an entity.

Fact is not perception.

Perception is not fact.

In response to Einstein's question: the sensory perception of the moon exists only when the mind engages with it; however, the factual existence of the moon remains independent of human sensation. Whether it exists or not transcends the realm of sensory judgment alone.

The Chinese philosopher Wang Yangming offers an illuminating perspective. When one of his disciples asked him if a flower exists when not observed, Wang Yangming responded: When we don't observe it, the flower is in a state of silence or obscurity; its existence becomes illuminated when we direct our attention to it.
