From children to adults, side by side, they grew,

Tian Tian, with bright feathers, his love he drew.

Dressed in his finest, to Niu Niu he flew,

Eager to speak, his heart sincere and true.

 

Yet Niu Niu, her feelings puzzled, impatient grown,

She expected more from Tian Tian, skills to be honed.

Niu Niu fled his approach, love's path unknown,

Dancing affectionately, Niu Niu's heart he wooed.
