This week, HARTFORD insurance company attracted CT people’s eyes. Insurance giant CHUBB Limited company offered $23 billions to acquire the company, the news was released on Monday, the same day HARTFORD stock roared 18% higher. Two days later, after a meeting, the board of directors unanimously rejected the Chubb Limited's offer.
As a CT resident, I am very happy to heard about it. HARTFORD, as an insurance company anchored in Hartford, the capital of CT, has a history of over 200 hundred years, it’s one of the oldest company in US. As a company who survived from 1st world war, 2nd world war, great depression, 2008 financial crisis, 2020 pandemic, HARTFORD is kind of a spiritual symbol of CT. if it disappears from acquisition, it will be a shame.
