周末休閑 在英國的酒吧

英國有所謂的酒吧文化。但我不想探討這個，話題太大。這裏隻是簡單的記敘一下一個在英國的一個普通的周末，跟酒吧有關。

看完了一個在社區的畫展，我們倆人繼續在街上尋找吃的，喝的。已經是星期五晚上9點半了，有人提出先去酒吧喝酒，再去吃飯。（這提建議的人肯定不是中國人）。因為是在英國，就入鄉隨俗，所以先去了酒吧。我不太能喝酒，但喜歡感受氣氛。就用果汁代酒。這個被建議的酒吧特小，其貌不揚， 叫JOLLY WOODMAN（見下圖）。星期五晚上人特多，全站在外麵，我們也隻能站在外麵。但對麵的叫OAKHILL TAVERN 酒吧（見下圖）無人問津，門麵看起來不錯。覺得好奇，問為什麽，被告之，說了你也不懂，就給你個關鍵詞吧，叫 Atmosphere。我有點明白，但還不滿足，回來後好奇，就去了Google搜，以下是搜出的結果。一般來說，對一個酒吧評定好壞的指標有：Location, Decor, Drink, Price,Atmosphere and Staff。

"Have recently moved to the area and was told of many good things about this pub.....I wasn't disappointed; the Landlord is a very welcoming chap, the ale is brilliant, and considering it is a small pub and very close knit, I never felt an outsider. Will be frequenting this delightful local a lot more."


"Definitely the best pub in Beckenham, if not Bromley, if not Kent. Friendly staff, well kept beers, always a couple of guest ales in as well as the regular harveys and landlord. Guinness is the best I've drank outside of Dublin, and they have a good selection of whisky.

看來，服務員，酒吧的啤酒和價格，氣氛，氛圍 Atmosphere 對光顧者來說是最重要的。

酒吧結束後，去了一家越南人開的北京飯館。我們是常客。這次要了3個素菜，椒鹽豆腐，燒蘑菇，豉汁時菜加蛋炒飯，中國茶。一共14.50英鎊,加兩鎊小費。便宜。如果我兒子去，老板娘會開玩笑地對他說，你付賬單啊。我說，I can't wait.快了，快了。
