上次介紹了Lone star的Amazed，那是第一次介紹典型的Country Pop，這次再介紹一首比較新的Country Pop經典，Lady Antebellum的“Need You Now”。Lady Antebellum國內翻譯為"戰前女神"，是由三個音樂世家子弟Charles Kelly，Hillary Scott，Dave Haywood組成，他們之前並沒有太突出的表現，直到這首歌橫空出世，2009年發布後，在公告牌鄉村歌曲榜上連續五周霸占第一的位置，之後於2010年3月20日在公告牌百強單曲榜拿下亞軍之位 （通常鄉村歌曲是不可能拿到前三名的）。2010年，該歌曲榮獲AMC“年度最佳單曲錄製”、“年度最佳歌曲”，第53屆格萊美獎最佳“年度製作”、“年度歌曲”，全美鄉村音樂獎“年度最佳單曲” 等獎項。這個默默無聞的組合可以說是憑此曲橫掃各項大獎，一時風光無限。
除了在鄉村音樂圈中橫掃各項獎項，這首歌還再多部電視劇中出現，包括Hellcats 和 The Glades. 同時被許多大牌歌手翻唱，包括Adele和Derius Rucker。
這首歌基本上屬於治愈係情歌，歌曲的編曲，除了輕快的小提琴（Fiddle）和傳統的三段式組曲方式外，加入了吉他和鋼琴，給整首歌增添了一些藍調的氣息，已經去除了標準的田納西的鄉土味道，加入了更多的都市男女的情愫。歌詞講述的是一對已經分手的戀人，但難掩心中對愛的渴望，在午夜時分在對方的電話留言機上留下了心情的告白，表達了主人公對往昔戀人的熱切思念以及對美好回憶的向往，短短的字裏行間讓聽者感到前所未有的共鳴。
